Finissage Kôô: Libations for Grief
Zeitgenössische Kunst Finissage Ausstellung

Please join us on Friday, June 12 at 18h for the finissage of Kôô: Libations for Grief (Samples, Spirals, and Sonic Offerings), a solo show by Soñ Gweha
Curated by Guilherme Maggessi, Marilyn Volkman and Rafał Morusiewicz
as part of Klima Biennale
Soñ will be present in the space for a gathering around the exhibition’s ongoing threads of grief, listening, ritual, and ecological attunement.
We’ll spend time with the work one last time, to share, spread some words and infuse ideas and tastes through a collective poetic gesture - we hope you can come by and close the exhibition with us.
The exhibition is part of the Klima Biennale’s Immediate Matters program “SPEAK WE MUST WE MUST SPEAK”, and it draws from the conceptual and material cosmology of Gweha’s ongoing project KÔÔ / ACHATINA / IGBIN: the snail’s queer erotics and the spiral of time. Centering the Achatina snail - known as Kôô among the Bassa people of Cameroon - the exhibition reframes grief as an invasive yet generative force.
With support from Klima Biennale Wien, Stadt Wien Kultur, and @kulturneubau, a special thanks to Leticia Knoop & Sima Dogan for all their contributions to the project as mediators.
