TASOS STAMOU (GR)

Tasos Stamou is an electroacoustic music composer, an improvised music performer, a music technologist and a tutor, currently based in London. During the past few years he has been exploring and utilizing several different mediums of original sonic creation into various recordings and performances; arrangements with self-modified electronics (circuit bending) and found objects, electronic music equipment (modular synthesizers & computer applications), acoustic instruments (prepared zither, reeds, whistles, vocals, etc) and video synthesizers.

Mostly as a free improvised multi-instrumentalist performer Stamou has presented live sets in solo projects and in collaboration with other experimentalists and improvisers (London Improvisers Orchestra, Adam Bohman, Steve Beresford, Mike Cooper, Andrea Parkins, Kuupuu & Lau Nau, Terry Day, Adachi Tomomi, Ilan Manouach, Ignaz Schick, Magda Mayas, etc.) around venues and festivals for innovative music. Since 2008 he runs ?Kukuruku Recordings?, an independent label for ephemeral exploratory sound works. He is currently running workshop series for circuit bending & hardware hacking for experimental sound production.

ARMA AGHARTA (LT)

Arma Agharta is a Lithuania-based sound-performance artist, active since 1998. As a curator he organized a few hundred events for experimental / improvised / noise music and performance art, including festivals “Speigas”, “SOTU Lithuania”, “Vilnius noise week”, “Diverse universe”, “Homo ludens” and many smaller concerts and sound art workshops. As sound artist he released more than 30 records under labels Perineum, Red Brick Chimney, Agharta, also published paper zines “Introspect” and “Infected by Dementia”.

Since 2007 and has toured the USA, Canada, Russia, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, UK, Hungary, Norway, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech republic, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He has been performing at various festivals including Aposition (Russia, 2015), Construction (Ukraine, 2015), Mem (Spain, 2015), Gamselit (Ukraine, 2015), Other Worlds (UK, 2015), Noise & Fury (Russia, 2015), Sonic Circuits (USA, 2014), Experi-mental (USA, 2014), Sonic (Denmark, 2014), SOTU (Netherlands, 2014), Sound Around (Russia, 2014), Cocart (Poland, 2013), Porin Juhlaviikot (Finland, 2013), M?nuo Juodaragis (Lithuania, 2013), S?pyn?s (Lithuania, 2014), Strcamp (Lithuania, 2013), Centras (Lithuania, 2013), Creature (Lithuania, 2013), Speigas (Lithuania, few times), Dezintegracija (Lithuania, few times).

Currently he is collaborating with well known Lithuanian sound artist Arturas Bumsteinas aka Refusenik. Previously he worked with Ramunas Jaras, Stefano Ferrian and Simone Quatrana (Italy), the band Laisva Strukt?ra.
