On the 8th of March, we claim space and draw attention to the structural inequalities that affect FLINTA people and all people who do not fit into a white patriarchal, cis, and heteronormative society. By challenging the city along its social boundaries and our physical dependence on infrastructure, especially in times of climate crisis, it is important to build relationships and bonds, to engage, to build alliances, and to find allies.

Soundride w/ mix by Jukebox Utopia

This mix features the Austrian writer Getraud Klemm, US film director Nina Menkes and American musician, composer and theorist Tara Rodgers all commenting on their work and research regarding the prevailant invisibility of women in their fields.

The mix seeks to hightlight how passion, lust and sexual desire continue to be formed by the male gaze. Intimate relationships and how we arrange them, how we are socialized into them seems to be in many cases more crucial for equality than many of the cosmetical political agendas.

Jukebox Utopia is the DJ name of the researcher, writer, radiomaker and musician Bianca Ludewig.

Every year on March 8, we take to the streets to draw attention to our feminist struggles. This year we collaborate with many other collectives on wheels!
