DJ Chilo, has been playing for quite a while…. Born and bred in London, her dancefloor education was at legendary clubs such as The Mudd Club, The Wag, Heaven and parties by Soul2Soul, Shake And Finger Pop and The Family Function. She also used to go to late night Shebeens and black gay soul house parties where the DJs would touch the needle back to the begnning of the record just before the hookline kicked in. Her record box is filled with classic sounds from Motown to Stax, from 1970’s soul to 80’s funk and from Electro Funk to Chicago House with a dash of Minimal. Her influences go even further and broader so you can be sure to expect more than you bargained for on the dancefloor when DJ Chilo is on the decks.
