Vinylograph Recording Session: Sundl

We are particularly excited about the upcoming Vinylograph recording session next Friday with SUNDL.
One could almost say that we will be recording a part of our “Vinylograph family.” As member of the band “Lady Lynch,” we share the memories of one of our very first Vinylograph performances back in 2017. The recording session, titled “Lady Lynch - Homage,” was a collaboration with the Viennese label “Cut Surface” which is also home to Sundl’s solo project releases.
Sundl’s sound carries many references to pop culture, and for the upcoming recording session, the influences are the house/techno icons Ane Clark and Mr. Fingers. These anthems were played at techno parties just as the sun was rising, and everyone embraced each other in unison. Sundl’s versions are darker, reminiscent of the time when vampires emerged from their coffins. Nevertheless, they are extremely powerful and danceable. We aim to record 30 singles, which means 60 takes.
It’s worth mentioning that Sundl has been involved with the DIY cassette label „Wilhelm Show me the Major Label” for decades. Recently, on Vlan.Radio, you can listen to a one-hour show where Sundl talks about the label.
Last but not least, the recording session will take place at SSTR6 which used to be the location of Sundl’s legendary “Turbo’s Bar.” It’s like a homecoming for us.
