ViennaUP is a city-wide festival of entrepreneurship and innovation, created by the startup community for the world. Events are designed and hosted by 35+ programme partners, and brought together with the support of the Vienna Business Agency into a week-long festival. These are scattered around Vienna, inviting you to explore the city, get to know the Viennese startup ecosystem, and mingle with founders, investors, talents and enablers from around the world.

Our Opening Ceremony gets the ViennaUP 2024 festival officially underway. A fabulous music programme sets the tone for the week, as we look forward to welcoming you all there.
Music & Opening
The Musikarbeiterinnenkapelle kick off our Opening Ceremony with a toe-tapping, head-nodding, smile-inducing mix of tradition and modernity. Not your average marching band, these guys and gals play work songs and techno covers instead of traditional marches. This act will be followed by a short welcome from Executive City Councillor Peter Hanke and a very Viennese greeting by singer and performer Anna Mabo.
Flavours
Specialty cheese, ham, and bread from Lingenhel Käse and Thum Schinken were made for snacking in Austrian style.
