9 days of architectural workshops in Vienna: the Vienna Architecture Summer School (VAS²) is an independent learning space for students, graduates and drop-outs in architecture or any other related discipline. Away from established hierarchies of universitary structures, we aim for exchange and negotiation of knowledges beyond dominating institutions and mainstream discourses.

haunted and other landscape/s

methods, myths and interventions with and within landscape/s, wounded landscape/s as artistic approaches into areas of specific interests.

Since a while Claudia expanded the area of performative work into landscapes as forests, fields, quarries, building plots or left over spaces. She explores the possibilities of how we can encounter and activate these environments which are inhabited by different creatures and marked by their materials, with different stories of becoming. Landscape/s are zones of different times and durations, they are archives of climate, circumstances and anthropogenic interest. With haunted landscape/s she does with theatercombinat explorations into wounded landscape/s and tries to encounter the ghosts of different areas.
This lecture will offer inside/s in different on site works as well as into virtual translations and seeks for applied demonstrations.

Claudia Bosse is an artist, choreographer and theatre director living in Vienna and Berlin. In landscapes, architectures, or urban spaces, Claudia Bosse’s site-specific works create poetic subversions between installation, choreography, theater, social rituals, and forms of assembly. In her artistic condensations, she deals with myths, forms of violence, concrete utopias, and ecological thinking. Claudia is the artistic director of the Vienna based transdisciplinary constellation theatercombinat.
