Join us Thursday, October 1, from 18:00–20:00 on the sidewalk in front of Palais des Beaux Arts for the opening of “too large to move”.

The works by Ju Aichinger, Amanda Burzić, Eva Sommer, Kristina Deska Nikolić, Dalia Hassan, Judith Raupp, Natalia Gurova, Judith Gattermayr, Evamaria Müller, and Cosma Grosser engage in a dialogue with the history of expropriation and artistic reappropriation of the Palais des Beaux Arts Wien. Taking the form of bag charms, they create a visual narrative that begins with “A” for “attachment” and move toward “B” for “belonging.”

Through key rings, chains, and carabiners, the works interlock with one another and intervene in public. Who gets to take up space, who screams, and who listens? Jingling, they detach themselves from the ornamental façade of the Palais and become carriers of stories told on sidewalks, in parking lots, on the subway, and along the way.
