We are delighted to share CNL’s first exhibition The Mona Lisa Effect, curated by Francesca Gavin. CNL ist a joint project by Croy Nielsen and LAYR, which aims to see how cultural and conceptual value can be explored in the digital arena. For this exhibition, the cnl.casa website functions as a digital gallery space.
‘The Mona Lisa Effect’ brings together James Kerr (Scorpion Dagger), Sara Ludy, Damien Roach and Thomas Webb, whose works touch on the idea of absence and presence in very different ways. The commissioned artworks created by these four artists are available on existing NFT platforms, which link from the CNL site. In a truly decentralised manner, cnl.casa takes the role as a display for the group show, while the artists maintain full control of their works.
The exhibition will go live on 25 May, while the auctions will open on 30 May at 10 am EST / 2 pm GMT / 4 pm CET. The auctions will be up for 24hrs once their reserve price is met. Thomas Webb’s project will be ongoing for the duration of the exhibition.
