since it’s inception in 2020 the echoraeume crew is running a meta-medial event series called “onlinerauschen”, fusing various concepts like live music, media art, web art and performance. echoraeume is 5 years old now, the pandemic is long gone, and live streaming of concerts was mostly shelved again in favor of physical attendance. some of our temporal digital interventions however were too good not to be reprised. so we’re going offline (again) and will perform them live in the so-called “serverraum” of the lovely semmelweisklinik. fear not though: online streaming will be active as well. our guests for this night will be sound-artist and @discreet_editions label-runner clara de asis and media and performance artist elet from @sandkastensyndikat.

echoræume is a non-proprietary, independent streaming platform with various interaction and communication options, which has been used by numerous organizers and event series in recent years. echoræume was founded by artists in 2020, the year of the pandemic, as a Vienna-based streaming collective and expanded in the following months into a participatory, hybrid, and international media art and experimental platform.they are a bottom-up initiative that has sent a clear signal of self-empowerment in an environment dominated by proprietary companies.
