Sophie Thun, born 1985, lives and works in Vienna.
Recent exhibitions include: 2018 Before the Beginning, After the End, curated by Ala Glasner, Vienna; 2017 Strudelobjekte at New Jörg, To figure it out curated by Barbara Rüdiger at Sophie Tappeiner, both Vienna, From Here To There, Hotel Charleroi – Lodgers, M HKA, Antwerp; 2016 Special Exhibition – Photography curated by Elife Semotan and Stefan Bidner at Alte Post, Vienna, Misael Soto, Mélange and Rain on lens boom in frame, Natalia Hug Gallery, both Cologne; 2014 Untitled (Exhibition) at Young At Art Museum, Miami.
Since 2015 Sophie Thun is part of the collective < dienstag abend >. They have exhibited 2017 at ICA Yerevan, Armenia; 2016 Kluckyland, Vienna as well as Lakkos Projects, Heraklion, Greece.
Forthcoming projects include a solo show at Natalia Hug Gallery in Cologne and a participation in the group show Portrait 21 at Museum Westlicht, Vienna.
