Simon Kubik is a painter and conceptual artist from Vienna. He uses impulsive, intuitive, yet carefully calculated brushstrokes to create an impressionistic patchwork of oil paint.

The way we perceive our surroundings, scattered stains of different light intensities, is how Simon approaches an image. While his sculptures often refer to political and societal topics, his paintings simply exist. Still, one should be cautious: personal life has a way of seeping into the canvas.
