We are happy to invite you to the exhibition of our artists in residence, Alina and Karina Gaeva. They will present their work - design clothes and graphic works, some of which were created during the residence. In the foundation of Alina Gaieva’s graphic works is the reinterpretation of various embroidery techniques of the Ukrainian Cossacks from 17th - 18th centuries. The motives of the embroidery were created based on materials from the collection of the Chernihiv Historical Museum of V.V. Tarnovsky. The elongated vest designed by Karina Gaieva borders on modern reality and the times of the great Ukrainian princes of the beginning of the 11th century, seen through the prism men’s military clothing of the Cossack foreman of the XVII - XVIII centuries.
