Photobook Breakfast „Firearms & War in Photobooks”

Firearms can be seen as tools for liberation from imperial and colonial oppression as well as weapons that can annihilate all life. How did artists approach them in photobooks?

Inspired by the exhibition Raining Blood: Photography & Arms Trafficking at Weltmuseum Wien, this photobook breakfast showcases guns-related photobooks and artist books from Weltmuseum Wien’s library.

Join the members of Reflektor collective together with exhibition curator Hanin Hannouch (Curator of Photography, Film and Audio at the Weltmuseum Wien) to explore a visual-artistic entry point into arms trafficking and war through print culture.

Bring your own print: Own a photobook, zine, or visual project tied to war and weaponry? Bring it to the table. If not, simply join us for an inspiring discussion powered by coffee and treats from Cook Bistro, Weltmuseum Wien.

The event is open to the public and will be conducted bilingually – both German and English speakers are warmly welcome.
