There are two good reasons to have a performance evening next Friday, the 23rd of June: the first reason is because there are never enough opportunities in Vienna to exhibit local and foreign artwork to the local community, and secondly some friends are visiting us at this time and through their influence the art network grows ever stronger.
Whenever we see the label “performance”, people always ask what it’s about; lets say in this case, for this event: it is something regarding actions of art, and that the result could be to exhibit as the artist decides. Performance Eve invites people in Vienna to see the exhibition of five works of art from the Viennese scene and one guest from Mexico. Included are actions, photography, live performance, action art, durational performance, and participatory art. The entire evening is hosted by Dual space at Johnstrasse 31 starting at 20.30 h. including welcome drinks.
What about the performances? They involve important issues including diversity, gender studies, and discourse in the arts regarding today’s society.
