A project by Pablo Chiereghin as a below-the-line campaign which transforms this primal instinctual emotion in a logo and promotes it as a cultural ready made.
ANGST (Fear/Anxiety) has the ability to hold us back, preventing us from reacting, thinking logically, and finding long term solutions. Fear is connected to common mechanisms in response to danger but also connected to failure, rejection, future and general powerless situations. Fear can be both a motivator and a deterrent, depending on how it is harnessed and the market has long understood its impact on consumer decision-making. In a period where war had become again a tool of resolving conflicts, fear had become a present feeling.
People are looking for safe spaces, mostly concentrating in their core activities, resizing the collectivity to smaller circles, taking care of their basics relationship and acting more as individuals than groups or communities. In this way, people become vulnerable to their own fears. Starting from the actual presence of fear in our time, as market and politics uses this feeling, Pablo Chiereghin objectivizes this common sensation using it literally, taking it from the inside of everyone of us and bringing it out as a brand

THE STAR PILLOW
Paolo Monti is an eclectic Italian composer, active in the european experimental scene for fifteen years with the drone/ambient/post-rock project The Star Pillow. The project started in December 2007 with the aim of researching expressions and relations between sound, space and human emotions. He has released many albums for some of the most important ambient and experimental labels (Time Released Sound, Boring Machines, Midira Records, Dissipatio). He plays continuously around Europe in long tours and in important festivals (Le Guess Who, Donau, Moving Noises, Gaudeamus, Kukemuru). He also works as composer for cinema, tv, institutions. In recent years he has been developing a sound language in the contemporary art and dance collaborating in performances and installations with the visual artist Aldo Giannotti and the austrian choreographer/performer Karin Pauer.
He’s also member of the post industrial trio DAIMON with Simon Balestrazzi, Nicola Quiriconi. He’s part of Bosco Sacro, dreamgaze doom band. They released the album „Gem“ via Avantgarde Music, did european, italian tours and have been invited in important festivals. He collaborates with the writer and singer Marco Rovelli (Les Anarchistes) with which he reinterprets songs from the anarchist tradition and love serenades from the italian popular tradition in a contemporary key.
