Last Refuge for the Senses or Noise Hippies against all War - multimedia film and live music performance
A multimedia film and live music performance will take place at the Celeste on 5/7/07 featuring filmmaker and performance artist Ben Russell and filmmaker, musician and performance artist Joseph Grimm. These artists are currently touring Last Refuge for the Senses or Noise Hippies against all War throughout Europe, supported by the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
The Noise Hippies’ show will consist of two phases: an 87-minute screening of nine select experimental 21st-century American short films, and an innovative multimedia performance in which the artists accompany a 16-mm cinematic projector with live audio collage, improvised with the help of a photosensitive analogue synthesiser, and various optical gadgets.
