Duo exhibition curated by Veronika Eberhart.
Irma Anna Prenn was born in 1964 in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, and studied fashion design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. After initially working in children’s fashion, she increasingly turned her attention to handcrafted textile design, a field she has been exploring with quiet precision ever since. She works with linen, velvet, wool, and silk, creating unique pieces such as quilts, cushions, and curtains.
Her designs are characterized by a fine sense for color and composition, where clear geometry meets subtle textures. Sewing, layering, and appliqué form her expressive vocabulary. She creates one-of-a-kind textiles for interiors, working with a selected clientele.
Andreas Dvořák, born in 1979, lives and works in Vienna. His multifaceted practice includes drawing, painting, and performance, as well as textile works often marked by repeated line formations. He explores countercultural strategies and investigates connections between various subcultures, including those from sports and pop culture.
He studied Contextual Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Ashley Hans Scheirl, plays in the bands Lime Crush and Goldkante, and has run the label Fettkakao since 2005.
