☆☆ Diffractive Dialogues - peer-to-peer artistic inquiries
As part of the Exhibition On Chewing Shoelaces: Art, Mess and Radical Kinship, artists Sophia Hörmann and Sarah Sternat will spend three days sharing their embodied practices, responding to one another, and following the traces that emerge in the encounter.

What happens when a practice of sustaining life is recontextualized in an art space? What changes when an act shifts from necessity to intention? Many forms of maintenance, support, and attentiveness unfold unnoticed, woven into everyday rhythms. What do they become once they are made visible? Through which forms can they appear? What rhythms define these practices?

Moved by these and related questions, artists Sophia Hörmann and Sarah Sternat will spend three days sharing their embodied practices, responding to one another, and following the traces that emerge in the encounter. Artist Asher will accompany the process by experimenting with forms of documentation throughout the three days and hold a conclusive practice.

This event is designed for adults. Bringing children is welcome although we can’t offer child care.

What is Diffractive Dialogues?

A format fostering critical inquiry through performative, somatic, and artistic practices. We invite both participants and facilitators to co-create knowledge in an open, collaborative space. Each gathering welcomes and values contributions from all professionals in these fields. We look forward to welcoming you!
