From Architectural to Architecturish Drawings
In this lecture, Matt Page will talk about his work with Drawing Matter and its collection of architectural and design drawings, with a focus on its editorial project and recent programme of exhibitions. He will also discuss several drawings of his own that engage with architectural representation, treating it as a system and a method. These drawings are not architectural drawings but something like them—they are ‘architecturish’.
The lecture takes place in the framework of the current exhibition juice of drawing by Bahar Avanoglu.
Matt Page
Matt Page is an artist, editor, and curator based in the UK. Since 2018, he has worked with Drawing Matter, a charity dedicated to architectural education and exploring the role of drawing in architectural thought and practice. He is the editor of Artists’ Drawings magazine and a member of the Bath Art Depot collective of artists.
