Elsa Okazaki, Hatschepsut Huss

The exhibition “NO US NU” is the result of a collaboration between established visual artist Elsa Okazaki and rising artist Hatschepsut Huss. The work is comprised of a series of portraits of the artists. Okazaki`s natural, near-nude snapshots are veiled with the ornamental drawings that have become Huss’ signature. By combining their media – photography and drawings – each artist reaches beyond her usual sphere of creative expression. The resulting work reflects an intermingling – of photography and print, artist and artist – that reflects the interwoven and multi-layered character of destiny, the animating concept behind the artists’ work.
