We are excited to present a new show at Backyardarchive together with Dinodo Studio. „Rug Pull“ showcases Dominik Scharfer’s broad approach to his craft, spanning painting, sculpture, and beyond.

Born in Austria, Dominik is an interdisciplinary artist whose work navigates the intersections of memory, history, and the human experience. Fusing traditional materials with modern techniques, including acrylic lacquers, cold enamels, and sculptural elements, his practice continually pushes the boundaries of painting. Rooted in childhood memories and adult reflections, he explores themes of humor, chaos, and surreal distortion, creating works of emotional depth and visual complexity.

Through his lens, he transforms fragments of history into narratives that bridge the personal and the universal, offering audiences a tactile and immersive experience.
