Atousa Falamarzian (atusai) is a composer, sound artist and performer from iran based in austria. her artistic practice explores the interrelationships between silence and sound/voice, together with frontiers/borders in acoustic-visual but also societal terms. she reflects on (embodied) experiences of inclusion/exclusion.

Her work draws from diverse cultures of poetry and alternative patterns of understanding knowledge, music, and the world. at the center of her practice is the question of what constitutes the self in a post-humanist, almost apocalyptic world.

Atusai’s works have been featured at venues including ars electronica, post city linz, stadtwerksatt linz, sonic lab linz, iem cube, esc media graz and klangspuren schwaz festival.
