Chalo Una

One of the biggest anti-caste Dalit protest rallies in the recent history of India was organized in the western state of Gujarat in August of 2016. Beginning in the capital state, Ahmedabad, the 10-day rally culminated at Una, a small town around 400 kilometers south. The rally was in response to the public flogging of four Dalit persons in a case of caste-related violence in Una. This exhibition is an invitation to be with the protest rally
