In her solo exhibition Karoline Kuchar is showing an extract of her current mixed media artworks which are mainly inspired by old viennese buildings shortly before their renovation.
Karoline Kuchar is experimenting with the actual wall plaster of those buildings and classical construction material in general which she combines with transparent fabric to create a contrast between those rough and fragile surfaces. The result is a mix between installation and painting.
Karoline Kuchar studies painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, class for expanded pictorial space (Daniel Richter).
