ANNA HOSTEK works against the pace of objects and materials. In her work, she deals with the multi-layered relationship between history and worth of textile and labor, which is reflected in the themes of sustainable production, recycling and the combination of industrially manufactured mass-produced and traditional forms of craftsmanship. BARTHOLOMAEUS WÄCHTER explores the intersection between self-produced objects and those that are standardized or industrially manufactured. He engages with mass production processes and, in doing so, creates his own systems. Assembled into objects, these systems introduce regulatory qualities into space, dictate movement, and imply interaction. ANTON is a duo exhibition presented by Plateau Vienna, with an accompanying text written by Florian Hofer.
